connecting through good deeds
Unique and Creative Add-on Event Activation at the Future of Real Estate Summit
What: I have been tasked with creating, and executing a unique and creative add-on event activation at the Future of Real Estate Summit, designed to support the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation, a partner charity focused on giving back to the community. This activation aims to foster community engagement through interactive and enjoyable activities. Each year, the activation can be reinvented to align with the event’s themes, ensuring it remains fresh, exciting, and relevant to the attendees.
Why:
Give Back to the Community: The activation aims to provide meaningful contributions to the community, supporting those in housing crisis through charitable efforts.
Drive Funds and Awareness: By highlighting the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation, the event will help generate funds and increase awareness of our partner’s charitable initiatives.
Foster Community Engagement: Engaging attendees in interactive activities promotes a sense of community and collaboration, strengthening bonds among participants.
Raise Awareness for Qualia Cares: Alongside supporting the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation, the event will also spotlight our charitable efforts with Qualia Cares, reinforcing commitment to social responsibility.
FORES22 - LEGO Community Build
Placed in the center of the exhibits, a brightly colored station immediately caught the eyes of guests. The station featured candy jars filled to the brim with over 16,000 Lego pieces. Beside the vibrant array of Legos was a display showcasing custom-built pieces, including the UT Tower and the Texas State Capitol, created by Austin’s local Lego Enthusiast Group, TexLUG.
Guests discovered that by donating to the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation, they could select Lego pieces from the “Lego Bar” to build a “Home” for the “mini fig” community. Each participant was then entered into a raffle to win a boxing glove signed by the Keynote Speaker, George Foreman.
Representatives from TexLUG were present at the event to discuss their displays and share tips and tricks for becoming a Lego Master.
Like all the campaigns for FORES22, Legos were deeply integrated into the event’s major themes of connectivity and the importance of local community. This engaging activity allowed guests to interact directly with our staff, brand, and charitable efforts, all while enjoying a playful, childlike spirit.
FORES24 - Rubick’s Cube Community challenge
After registering, guests are directed to a nearby booth for T-shirt pickup. There, they receive a shirt, a warm welcome, and an overview of the event's highlights. In front of them stands an impressive display of over 400 stacked Rubik’s Cubes, each side uniquely branded with "Welcome to Austin" and event graphics—except for one blank side.
Guests are informed that by donating to the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation, they will receive a souvenir Rubik’s Cube and can participate in a challenge. To complete the challenge, participants must collect 9 stickers to fill the blank side of their Rubik’s Cube. Stickers are distributed by exhibitors, encouraging guests to engage with each booth. Once their cube is complete, they return to the Good Deeds booth to be entered into a raffle for an iPad.
A member of Qualia’s sales team has even mastered solving a Rubik’s Cube in under 2 minutes for the event. His skills are showcased at the booth, where he competes in showdowns against other staff and guests.
Rubik’s Cubes provided a fun and interactive way to connect sponsors, guests, and staff, while also supporting a meaningful cause within the industry. The cube imagery was prominently featured in event branding, perfectly aligning with the event's design, theme, and community spirit.
